SpatialStudio
SpatialStudio is the desktop development app for SpatialEngine. It combines an editor, coding-agent integration, live preview, and console. Prototype in Python, build your own web UI, and inspect the running application as you develop. The installer bundles the native engine, Python, and a matching SDK.
A Studio project is a folder with project.toml, a Python entry point, and optional web UI files. Your Python code controls the engine. The preview displays the app’s page and engine viewport.
| Task | Guide |
|---|---|
| Install and run a sample | Quickstart |
| Prototype with the coding agent | Coding agent workflow |

| Build your own UI | Custom UI |
| Hand an app to another developer | Sharing apps |
Studio currently runs Python projects. Browser-only applications use the TypeScript and WebAssembly SDK separately.
Samples
Use the bundled samples to explore the API. Hello App and Hello Flask show a Python backend with a web page. Hello React shows a frontend build. CAD API covers project hierarchy, transactions, and undo. Representation Zoo compares saved objects with temporary shapes.
Assistant
The assistant uses your installed Codex and its account, configuration, models, and permissions. It can edit project files and, with app QA enabled, run the application and inspect the preview. Prototype with the coding agent covers setup and iteration.
